My name is Les and I began training when I was 19 years old. I started to learn karate for many reasons, one of which was that a friend of mine, who had been training with Sensei Conroy for many years, suggested that I visit the karate club. Other reasons for starting, was the need to toughen myself up through physical training, and the desire to develop self discipline, which in turn, would allow me to gain knowledge of the martial arts.

Having reached Nidan grade in August 2006, I intend to carry on training for many years to come, for what I have learned during past years is just a small amount of what there is to be achieved!
